Social events

Welcome reception

The Welcome Reception will be at the venue on Sunday, July 9th and will start at 18:00.

Drinks and small snacks will be served.

Young protistologists’ pub

The Young Protistologists’ Pub will be at Charlie P's Irish Pub, Währinger Str. 3, 1090 Vienna on Tuesday, July 11th and will start at 20:00.

It is a 10 min walk from the venue.

The Young Protistologist’s pub is planned as an activity to facilitate communication and networking in an informal atmosphere. The activity will take place in a pub, with drinks and snacks (free for student members of ISOP). Besides food and drinks, the surprise Protist Nerds team quiz will open the event. Students, PhD students and postdocs are welcome to join!

Gala dinner

The Gala Dinner will be at the Town Hall, Lichtenfelsgasse 2, 1010 Vienna on Thursday, July 13th, and will start at 19:00 (entry at 18:30).

It is a 15 min walk from the venue.

Buses

Buses for the excursion to the Waste Water Plant on Wednesday and for the Post-Conference Tour to the National Park Neusiedlersee on Friday will depart from Hof 10, Spitalgasse 4, 1090 Vienna.

Please be on time, buses cannot wait.
